Toby went to his forever home on December 12, 2009 and will be living in New Hampshire. Update on December 19, 2009:
Update on January 7, 2010. Hi Jeanne, Happy New Year! Progress here with Teddy is going well. He boarded very well over Christmas, but is now staying very close. He is enjoying his first winter and loves the snow. He is eating very well, eating dry food twice a day; no more grazing. His eyes are better. For the first time, last week, he put his head out the car window while riding. He is doing a great job of copying his older sister, good and bad. Please pass along to his foster mom and sister, I want them to know he's doing well; they were so helpful to both Teddy and us. Will keep you posted. B Hi Jeanne, > Today is Teddy's second day with us. He contiunes to do very well. He is well mannered, gentle and funny. He and Lily are having fun running around the yard. Teddy is still discovering new things in his new home and yard. He is an excellent traveller and loves to go on errands with me. > Today he went to meet his new vet and was an unbelievable patient. Dr. Means was so impressed with him. He was calm and just so good during the exam. The vet proclaimed him in excellent health. He also told me how lucky we were to get such a beautiful, healthy and well mannered pup. > Teddy's eating is slowly getting back to normal, although, he does like a little chicken broth on his dry kibble. He also loves peanut butter treats as apposed to baby carrots or green beans. > We started invisable fence training today, also. > I tried to get a Christmas photo, but Teddy was not happy about wearing an elf's hat, so maybe no Christmas photo this year. > Barry and I can't thank you and Diane for all your hard and loving work. Gulf South has some pretty lucky pups with caring people like you. > Thanks again, > Barbara and Barry > Name: Toby Toby was reluctantly surrendered by his owner due to life changes and moving. His body is tall and lean, larger than an average golden. He is energetic and happy, but also wants to please his humans. He adapts to the prevailing mood. If a dog wants to play, he plays hard. When we are relaxing, he does also. He was very good with a visiting two-year old boy. At a party, Toby jumped on a couple of people as they came into the house, but quickly calmed down and was a good host. He does not like to be left outside without his humans. He does like to play with balls. Toby has above average recall for his age. Toby would do well with almost any family that is willing to provide daily love and exercise. |
